Chris Garbutt  is 37 years old. He is South African. He joined Ogilvy & Mather  Paris in 2008 as Executive Creative Director. Before that, he spent 5 years at TBWA Paris as European Creative director on Nissan Europe and Absolut Vodka. In fact, Chris started his career at Ogilvy & Mather Johannesburg after which he moved to TBWA Hunt Lascaris.

He has worked on many different types of accounts from Rock’n Roll radio stations to Airlines, from VW to BMW, from Nando’s Chicken to KFC, from Luxury to fast moving consumerable goods. He has had the fortune of training under some of the best in the business. Tony Granger  was his Creative Director at TBWA Johannesburg, Robyn Putter was his Creative Director at Ogilvy Johannesburg and Erick Vervroegen was his Executive Creative Director at TBWA Paris.


He has won about 90 international awards including Eurobest, Grand Prix,  Cannes Awards and European Effies on numerous campaigns.

Chris is an obsessed believer in the fact that great ideas equal profit, and he is on a mission with clients to prove it.
